Wedding Photography at Claridge’s London

Can you get married at Claridge’s Hotel in London?

Yes, you can get married at Claridge’s, and it remains one of the most elegant wedding venues in London. Located in the heart of Mayfair, a wedding at Claridge’s feels timeless, calm and beautifully considered. Just before Christmas, the hotel has an added warmth that makes the day feel even more special.

The ceremony images show guests seated beneath crystal chandeliers, with the bride and groom framed by tall windows and classic detailing that Claridge’s is known for - and interiors that really help to make your wedding pictures stand out.

Why do couples choose Claridge’s for a London wedding?

Claridge’s offers a rare mix of history, luxury and atmosphere. The art deco interiors, soft lighting and generous rooms create a space that feels grand without feeling formal. It’s a hotel that allows a wedding day to unfold naturally.

Looking at the wider ceremony photographs, you can see how the room holds everyone comfortably while still keeping the focus on the couple and their story.

Claridge’s is exceptional for wedding photography. The art deco design, symmetry and layered lighting work beautifully at every point of the day. From wide images showing the full room to close moments filled with emotion, the hotel supports storytelling in a very natural way.

The chandeliers, mirrors and warm tones add depth without distracting from the people in the room.

What was special about Emily and Paul’s wedding day?

Emily and Paul were married at Claridge’s just before Christmas, which gave the day a gentle festive feel without overpowering the elegance of the venue. The ceremony was relaxed, emotional and full of warmth.

One of the most meaningful moments was Paul’s best man being his son, George, which added a real sense of family and connection to the day.

What was it like photographing this wedding from a personal point of view?

I have been photographing Emily for over 20 years, so being there on her wedding day was a real honour. Over the years, I’ve photographed her family, including her children Charlie, Clara and Martha, as well as her business, Active Step. To be asked to document such an important moment in her life meant a great deal to me.

There was a deep sense of trust, which allowed me to work quietly and naturally, capturing moments as they happened rather than directing them.

I'm a seasoned Claridges hotel wedding photographer, and have been professionally doing wedding photography for over 40 years - if you can believe it! This venue is a lovely choice for a winter wedding, with a lovely interior that suits all year round, but especially the colder seasons. As you can see in these wedding photos, it really is timeless.

How did the ceremony feel inside Claridge’s?

The ceremony felt intimate, calm and full of emotion. Guests were close, listening carefully, watching expressions and reactions unfold. Small moments, like hands being held and glances exchanged, say so much.

One image captures a guest watching the couple through joined hands, which perfectly reflects the closeness and atmosphere in the room. The Claridges wedding ream also run an impeccable service which helps to make it an even more special occasion.

From the first dance to speeches, the whole event was beautiful. Claridges is a dream setting to celebrate your big day. I hope these photographs give you some inspiration for your winter wedding.

What happens after the ceremony at a Claridge’s wedding?

After the ceremony, the mood gently shifts from quiet focus to celebration. Applause fills the room as the couple share their first kiss as a married couple.

The final ceremony image shows guests clapping and smiling as Emily and Paul embrace beneath the chandelier, a moment of shared joy and relief.

Why is experience important for a Claridge’s wedding photographer?

Claridge’s is a venue that rewards experience. Understanding the light, knowing how the rooms change throughout the day and moving discreetly around guests all make a difference.

My approach is always to photograph weddings in a way that feels natural and respectful, allowing moments to unfold while ensuring the story of the day is captured fully.
