Natural maternity and newborn photography

I first had the pleasure of meeting Katie and Dan back in 2023, when I photographed their wedding at the gorgeous Froyle Park. What a wonderful day that was.

I’m delighted to say that, three years later, Katie is now pregnant and expecting their first child. I’ve had the most fantastic time photographing the development of the pregnancy, and I’m now really looking forward to photographing the baby as well.

Being able to photograph people at different stages of their lives — not just their wedding day — is something I really value.

Photographing pregnancy in a natural way

If you’re looking to have portraits made during pregnancy, my approach is very simple.

I don’t do any of those awful things where babies are put into bird’s nests, wrapped in woolly jumpers, or anything like that. Everything I do is kept super natural.

The focus is on you, the pregnancy, and this moment in your life — photographed in a calm, relaxed way.

A relaxed, unforced experience

You don’t need to worry about posing or knowing what to do. The session is easy, unhurried, and adapted around how you’re feeling on the day.

My aim is to create photographs that feel honest and comfortable, rather than styled or forced.

Newborn photography — kept simple

The same approach applies to newborn photography.

No props. No themes. No costumes. Just natural photographs of your baby, exactly as they are.
